Like other reviewers have said, the oversized (XXL) is MASSIVE. I'm talking my-6-year-old-can-fit-inside-and-still-have-room-for-snacks large. That being said, it's exactly what a mama needs for a day at the beach with the whole family. Honestly, we've been using a wagon to tote everything and I hate it. No matter what wheels you have, they never go easy in the soft sand. But this bag??? This bag can replace it and then some.
When we go to the beach we pack at least 4 Turkish towels, a beach tent/shade thing, LOTS of sand toys, sunscreen, hats for all, giant water bottle(s), snackle box, a book for my sanity, and sometimes a music speaker. Everything fit into the bag with space to spare. Honestly, if slinging it over my shoulder wouldn't be awkward with them, I could probably fit my husband's and my beach chairs in there too.
Sure, all that stuff means I need to haul it on my shoulder but every seasoned mom knows a thing or two about hauling bags. This one at least keeps my hands free because everything is inside one of the many inside mesh pockets, outside zip pockets, or in the main abyss.
The sand blanket is nice, lightweight, and comes with its own stakes for use in the grass. They're not so handy in soft sand but just use any of the millions of things in your new Mary Poppins beach bag to hold down the corners. It's nice that it has its own compartment so at least some sand can stay out of the main area.
It's very sturdy, the material is thick while still being lightweight. I'm no seamstress but the stitching looks like it will hold up well to multiple years of multiple beach trips. Honestly, I was surprised by the size but after using it at the beach just one time I have no qualms with this bottomless pit of a bag and know it will be getting tons of use.
This bag is just perfect for picnics, beach days, grilldays, camping, even as a tote for groceries is perfect.
It has a good size (bought the medium one) and the best part is that also the pockets are big, and for the cherry on top: the blanket with the stakes, perfect idea for windy days.

That said, it’s incredibly useful for beach days, picnics, or even road trips when you need to haul a lot of gear. The pull-out blanket is a great bonus, and the waterproof layers and zipper compartments make it practical and organized.
