Who we are

SunSpot was born out of one very sweaty, sand-covered, mildly chaotic beach day in Maine. Picture this: our family car is parked 15 minutes from the beach (because everyone and their seagull got there first), and we’re hauling beach bags, towels, toys, snacks, sunscreen, spare clothes, and possibly a small inflatable unicorn—basically everything short of the kitchen sink—while small children protest with the stamina of marathon runners. And that’s when it hit me: there’s got to be a better way.

What if one bag could carry all your beach-day essentials and include a built-in blanket that pulls out like magic? What if packing up didn’t feel like an Olympic sport? And what if that bag was actually stylish, not some crinkly monstrosity from the 90s?

So I sketched, sewed, tested, tweaked, and voilà—SunSpot was born. Oversized beach totes with a genius pull-out blanket. Smart, simple, and made for families who love the outdoors but hate carrying 17 things.
